The basic premise seems to have been copied wholesale - a couple dozen children are abducted by an oppressive totalitarian government and are forced to hunt each other to win their freedom. I haven't read or seen The Hunger Game yet so I wouldn't want to leap to conclusions, but based on the summary it looks pretty fishy...
